I'd say that the above timeline is generous. I really only found this subreddit a couple of months ago and I would say I was slowly edging towards it a few months before that. In all likelihood, it has only been a few months since I swallowed.

I had never heard the term "the Red Pill" outside of the Matrix before about a year ago. But I put together all of these ideas years ago. I used to be a passive beta who always treated women like princesses. So I got cheated on in 1997, and it crushed me so bad that I tried very seriously to kill myself (shot myself under the chin with an SKS). After rebuilding my life, I had to make some big changes.

I started becoming more assertive altogether, not just with women. I stopped "falling in love" with every pretty girl and getting my heart stomped on by them. The first 10 or so relationships of my life, I was the one who got dumped. The last 10 or so, I've been the one to do the dumping.

I used to basically wait around and hope for women to make a move on me. Nowadays, I do both the choosing and the move-making. I studied seduction for years starting around 2004, so I get it now, how women work. Of course all of that beta shit took a long time to unlearn, but these days I feel in charge of my life.

I don't take women very seriously anymore. I respect them in the ways each one deserves, but on the whole I understand how flaky they are and how most all of them are pretty weak minded. Unlike a lot of RPer's, though, I don't think that all women are bitches, or all women are the same. They do have a lot of similar motivations and mechanisms, but some women are pretty decent people - at least as much as they can be, all that estrogen still feeds the hamster. You just have to have different rules for men and for women.

The biggest difference is that I don't feel "lonely" when I am single. I realized that I prefer being single and playing the field. And I have almost no interest in getting married. I would consider it a bit later in life if I met the right girl so that I could have a kid or two who would then have a close family. But not only would she have to be a pretty amazing girl, she would have to learn my rules first and prove that she wants to accept them.

Since I've learned how women work, there's no mystery in how to get with them anymore. It's easy. But I'm less motivated to do it now, because it doesn't seem as spectacular as it did before. So that's the biggest difference for me - I spend much less time thinking about or doing things for women, and more time doing things purely for myself.

My life was OK anyway (married to a pretty decent woman who just doesn't understand why would people shit test etc.) but this feels like many disconnected puzzles about the experience of my own life, other people's, history suddenly just came together in one big picture.

3 months in. Not as reliant on women for validation. They are just there an if something happens great.. If not, I don't really give a fuck.
