"After 11 years of paying child support. Never missing a payment in those 11 years, for an adopted child by the way. Wasn't my biological son. My place of employment closed it's doors. Had a 3 month lull in finding a permanent job. Got a report from brother in law who is a sheriff in my county, That I was on the most wanted list for deadbeat dads in arrears. 3 months behind in 11 years, for a child I adopted. Finding out I was approx. 3,000 bucks in arrears. I immediately drove to the court house with $5,000 cash in my hand. Asked what I owed. And payed $3,234.00 to pay off the remainder of my childs support up to the age of him turning 18. Payed ahead of time mind you. As he was 3 months from turning 18 and my child support would then be terminated. 6 months later, I received a letter in the mail saying I was $632.00 in arrears. And that I had a warrant for my arrest. Even after paying what I thought was the arrears in full. Contacted the court house , and they told me I had to come down there and rectify it myself in person. Showed up that day, to be arrested for being in contempt of court. When explained to me, that I had not payed the interest of $632.00 I was held in contempt. And that a contempt charge could not be overturned in the state of Wisconsin. Therefore I would have to spend 30 days in jail. Never having been in jail in my life for anything, I was held for 27 of the 30 days. Because when I went in to pay the arrears, they conveniently left the interest out of what I owed. And people wonder why men go MGTOW nowadays."
