I teach middle school and high school students part-time. Today, I was at a charter school discussing the importance of having goals with a group of 6th-grade boys. One of the boys shared his goal of being an inventor.

"That's a great goal," I said. "Tell me one thing that you can do to achieve that goal."

"Avoid women," he said.

I laughed and told him that was a very good answer.

Oddly enough, the other teacher in the room, a female, nodded enthusiastically at his comment.
