The girl who I felt the most compatible and comfortable with ditched me over the phone after being together for 4.5 years and it drug on for another 8 months or so. I had a lot going on in my life and had grown far too accustomed with what she provided, support and intimacy. While I'm not making what you're making I started working part time in an industry I've always wanted to be a part of. It wouldn't have been possible while being with her due to time constraints. Plenty of room for growth if I stick with it and avoid entangling alliances.

In my case we were sort of friends but she soft rejected me when I tried to flirt with her. I didn't pursue any further and found out later she's used to bad boys and sort of sees me as a loser.
She told me to my face "you're not made for relationships with women".
Mostly ignored her since.
I don't make 6 figures in USD but in my country's money which is ~1/3 as far as value goes.

Did she use you as an emotional tampon? Forget that noise. It could have been much, much worse. You make something of yourself and all of a sudden she realizes just how great you are. Which we know means that you can finance her lifestyle.
6 figures isn't bad at all, even if it's not USD. What's important is you are placing yourself first, persevering, and not having some parasite sucking up your soul and resources with the end reward being divorce raped or finding out she's been cheating on you.

Almost every girl I've banged has said this. This realization Is always years after the fact and the female is finally accepting that she had the guy "of her dreams" during the time that she was in her prime and instead chose to CC ride because hypergamy is the way it is.
