Couple of comments of advice to moto-newbies:

Buy used for your first bike, with a motor that has two cylinders or less. The 600/750/1000 cc inline-4s are far more power than you need or can really control when you're learning, stay away. It's way more fun to wring the neck of a smaller cc bike for all it's worth than to putter around on a fast bike never getting out of 4th gear without getting a ticket. You really won't even know what kind of moto you will like best until after riding for a year or two. I started with a v-twin sportbike (SV650) but after a few years really just liked backroad adv touring and moved to dual sports with even LESS HP than the SV. Buying an inexpensive used bike lets you switch types or upgrade without much if any monetary loss. All IMHO of course.

The safety issue still freaks me out. I stopped riding a bike because I've had too many close calls. I can't imagine going 60 miles an hour with as much protection as I'd have riding a bike, essentially.

There is nothing more MGTOW than riding a motorcycle. It’s the perfect symbol. It oozes individualism and going your own way by yourself where as cars are more suited for a group of people/family.

I made sure my 2015 Zuki GSX 750 had a modded seat as well 😎 that way there is really no room for another rider haha

If you are going to start riding, check out your local college or the DMV, they might have a ride course that you can take. Its a good way to learn motorcycle basics. Also start out small, go with a 250cc and then build your cc's up with confidence. I started on ninja 250cc for a year and then moved on to 675cc.

Nothing like riding a motorcycle. You will never get the same feeling from driving a car. When I went MGTOW I had a bike within 4 months because I finally had no one telling me no or nagging me about , well about anything. :)

Take the BRC if you havent already. In the US it's like $20 at local community colleges.

Motorcycles have been a major part of my life the past 15 years, and I couldnt be happier. I'm between bikes at the moment, starting a business has been slow and expensive. Lucky for me I have a few friends with extra bikes so I get out every week or so.
