I had to go to court for this almost 20 years ago. I owned a rental property that I was losing money on. The cunt judge ordered me to pay almost three times what I offered to pay because I "own a rental property and got to live in it for free". This was after it was explained to her that the building cost $4000 per month to own and maintain but it only generated $3000 per month in rent because I lived in one of the 4 units. In other words it cost me $1000 per month to live there "for free". After that I could no longer afford to live in my own building. I ended up renting the fourth unit and slept on a couch in the basement for the next 2 years.

As far as I can tell and this article states, this has zero to do with spousal support and everything to do with child support. Child support to the amount of $56 a week. While you have to question the rationale of $56 a week even being worth the effort, it's his responsibility. The same as his his 8 year old son that has a dead beat father and a single mother that's pre-occupied with being a soul sucker.
