Whenever I'm faced with such arguments (ESPECIALLY WITH BLUE PILLED ASSHOLES), I tend to say something like, "How about she pays for herself and me for myself?" That's the way it should be, really.

So that you can encourage your male friends to do the same, so that they can encourage THEIR male friends to to do the same, so that those friends can encourage THEIR friends to do the same, and so on and so on, until one dude buys one of your female family members a drink at a random bar.

The narrative must be kept alive so that they can benefit from it.

The Girl Club. One of the rules is "Make Men Pay for Your Drinks".
If your Mom and Sis are Old School, the quality men are the ones that pay for the dates, for good or ill. They are looking out for you, to make sure that you come off as a quality man.

Ergo, they are looking out for their club members, and for you. These two answers may be antithetical, but, there you go.
