They should remove them from the shelves. Leave only female authors works up. I mean, such strong authors, right? They don't need a plethora of male effort to prop their books up amidst such empty space.

I was looking at my shelves, aaaand surprise: only one female author: J.K Rowling. Read Harry Potter in my youth. There are a couple of female writers whose books I would like to read, but they're really low on my priority list.

By and large this the most pretentious load of horse shit I've ever seen. So let me get this straight, there's a gross disparity in female authors to male in fiction because of "The Patriarchy"...and not because fictional literature falls into the EVER so large category of occupations that WOMEN CHOOSE NOT TO BE PART OF.
