Conversation (paraphrased) I had in 2000 with a woman that I still vividly remember since it shocked me so much. At the time I was young and innocent and didn't quite realize how the world works. I foolishly thought people voted based on issues.

In hindsight, it's not such a bad idea. People voted in fear of "omg the other candidate's gonna win if I don't vote", that's why both camps are blaming this and that even now.

If all men had abstained from 2016 presidential election, only then with only 29.3% turnout the "pundits" and media would have correctly pointed out "wow those were some shitty options we had".
