Jill Lamontagne, 29, of Kennebunk, Maine, filed a motion through her attorney in York County Superior Court asking that the photos be excluded on the basis of the “ease at which the identity of a text message sender can be manipulated; and the simplicity of deleting portions of a text message,” the Bangor Daily News reports.

So basically she's claiming that the photo's and messages were altered in some sort of plot to frame her by the victims mother.

Was the teen suicidal before the relationship, as the headline implies? Nothing in the story supports this implication.
Did the suicide attempt occur after the relationship was found out?

She has a point. Screenshots aren't valid pieces of evidence. But can't the police obtain original text message history from the network providers or at least the phones? I thought that's what they did for Liam Allen false-rape case.
