Wow I’m impressed with her level of dedication to fcking up her life (not so much for the kids she will spit out along the way) this one is really fcked up, damn. And to think some guys will fall in love with this train wreck, I just don’t get it

If you're actually married you're better off if she branch swings to a guy who makes a lot more money. That means that making that relationship work is a lot more important to her than trying to squeeze some money out of you.

If you find yourself in this situation offer her a nice quiet convenient divorce with terms favorable to you, and keep it all light and friendly - "sorry it didn't work out" and all that. If she signs on the line you dodged a MAJOR bullet (now don't go out and repeat your mistake!).

If she wants to fight for more say that you really want to try to keep the lawyers out of it because we don't want to end up having things get messy/etc.

She can't marry the new cash cow while she's still married to you, and if her new budget is a lot higher than any alimony check you could write then she knows she'd be stupid to get into a contentious divorce. That might scare off the new mark. She's just a nice person and it was unfortunate that things didn't work out. But that's ok because you're a nice person too and you're happy to let her leave on friendly terms with 35% of the assets... :)
