I just want to quickly point out that Jordan Peterson's "apology" to Mgtow is nowhere near an apology that people think it was. (If someone already covered this, good.)

First, he never mentioned the word "apology", so I don't even know why people think he apologized . He instead said the word "regret". Big difference, which I will now explain.

He acknowledges that Mgtows sorta have a point about marriages and divorces, and how the laws that govern them are in favor of women. (Duh, there are a million other people who've already said this. I think even some feminists have acknowledged this, so Jordan doesn't deserve any prize for stating the obvious.) However, this is the secondary reason for his regret.

His main reason for his regret is that Mgtows have, according to him, an undue influence on young men, and therefore are not "pathetic weasels" but much more dangerous and should not be dismissed out of hand. So, his point is that Mgtows have more influence than they should and are therefore dangerous to ambitions of young men. In other words, Mgtows are too dangerous to be dismissed. He doesn't really have any sympathy for them, he just wishes he didn't dismiss them so easily because they are more pernicious than he thought.

You can imagine someone regretting that he called Islamic fundamentalist preachers "pathetic losers" because he now thinks that they are not "pathetic losers" but much more influential and dangerous. It's obvious that he not "apologizing" to the preachers, right? Well, this is Jordan Peterson's attitude towards Mgtow.
