Feminism for women was about freedom from their societal roles.

MGTOW is the natural response to that freedom. You want freedom? You got it! However, you can't abandon your responsibilities to the societal contract and leave us with our half that we agreed to. We're walking away from it, too.

You don't want to be bound to a specific role in the marriage? OK, fine. But marriage is no longer a worthwhile contract for us to enter into if we're the only one holding up our end of the bargain. Bye.

You get the freedom to have dozens of partners before settling down later? Great. You can have that freedom. In exchange, we get the freedom to find you undesirable. You don't want to be judged for your preferences? Neither do we.

You want access to high paying jobs? You got it. We're going to make every effort to give you access to the low paying jobs, too. The dangerous, deadly, dirty ones. The military, especially. You fight for your rights at the top; we'll fight for your rights at the bottom.

You want universal contraception and abortion? You got it. Now we're fighting tooth and nail for our own contraception and family court rights, and you already don't like it. Try to decide who and when to trap into fatherhood? We'll take control of our reproduction and deny you the choice to skip pills to start a family on your schedule.

You want to eschew the burden of proof when accusing us of improper behavior? We'll avoid helping you when you need it to avoid the disproportionate risk involved in helping or giving access to status or mentoring.

MGTOW is nothing but a defensive response to feminism. I, for one, am OK with feminism. Opt-out all you want. Just realize that there are consequences for both you and society as more of us opt out of what's now a one-sided deal.
