This guy went into another mans house and filmed him having sex. The fact that his wife was there too is incidental. His issues with his wife are his issues with his wife, they have nothing to do with the third party.

It sounds like the charges are coming from the man his wife was cheating with. Breaking into someone's house and secretly filming them having sex are both crimes that this guy admits to committing. I wouldn't pursue charges if the same thing happened to me, but you can bet I'd be pissed as hell if I started sleeping with a woman and then all of a sudden I look up and there's a dude in my home filming me. There's a legitimate case here (although I agree the possibility of 15 years is absurd).

Even in his betrayed state this guy was pedistalizing his wife. He put himself at great personal risk by committing actual crimes just to confirm what he already knew. He wasn't thinking clearly because he felt so much rage and grief over a woman that was likely providing negative value to his life to begin with. The correct response when you're confronted with something like this is to lay low, don't rock the boat, and get as prepared as you possibly can for divorce before you trigger it. Losing your cool and acting out of passion will almost always come back to bite you in scenarios like these. If the dude even gets sentenced (he hasn't yet) I'll be on the side saying it's ridiculous if the sentence is anything but light... but the dude did mess up. Have to acknowledge that.

This is what pisses me off more than anything else about shitty female behavior. The system is designed to protect them and punish the man. They get to completely fuck you over and if you express any dissatisfaction with that you will be severely penalized for not handling the situation "appropriately."
