Fine by me. It'll be good for these empowered go grrl women to start paying men. Because right now, it's impoverised men who pay for middle class women.

Here's the thing. If these women ever did get UBI, they'd reject it faster than they support it now. They'll reject it because women will come out less well off than they do now, and men (gasp!) will actually come out better.

The flip side of UBI (and the only reason it can work) is that every food stamp program, every HUD Section 9 program, every DCFS aid package, every medicaid claim, and every entitlement program currently on the books becomes redundant. UBI only works when social services get cut (the UBI becomes the social service).

Guess which sex uses most social services? Guess which sex hardly uses any? Under the current system, gobs of wealth are transferred from men (as a whole) to women (as a whole). Under a UBI, men will come off better than women.

Certainly not willing to work for legal/taxed "on the record" wages...

Black market, payment in non-taxable non-traceable off the record forms (barter, etc) would be about all that would be left... other than the poor slobs who would be FORCED (at literal gunpoint) to continue to slave away.

Cf Venezuela if you want to see that all playing out "live" and in living color.

UBI is a fantasy. it's like when ali g pitches venture capitalists on the hoverboard... he has the idea and says they need to go make it work.

even if you took 100% of the federal government's tax income and redistributed it to UBI (meaning not a single dollar for parks, national defense, science grants, the FBI, or even the IRS), each person would get roughly $10k. that's even less than you get if you work a minimum wage job, full-time. and that's on a tax base where people are actually incentivized to work. how many people do you think are still going to sign up to be a sanitation worker when you can get paid to sit on your ass and do nothing?

With automation and nanotechnology, 'work' as we know it will cease to exist. Scarcity and economic capitalism as we know it will end with the nano-3D printer. Robots will get better, competition over paychecks will become deadly before becoming nonexistent. We are all going to need UBI eventually. I think there are many things about UBI and socialism that can be incorporated into a mgtow lifestyle.
