When I first started living in Ohio again back in 2012, there was a person that wasn't a friend but more of a social acquaintance. I got so bored of the person in about 2 months time that I just ghosted completely after 2013 because there wasn't really anything interesting to associate with the person other than 3 times showing up and doing nothing other than watching someone else play vidya. If I wanted to watch someone play vidya, I can watch myself play vidya on my own devices. Then out of the blue in 2013 the last time I ever talked to the person, he was acting like some whiny entitled dramatic slit in my texts acting like I owed him 10 trillion dollars or something. After that I just continued ghosting and gave zero fucks.

They weren't real friends. I have cut the cord on quite a few. Friends make time for friends. On the other hand, sometimes people get caught up in their own lives, especially as we age. I have a few people I would really like to catch up with, but I started a new job a few months back and it keeps me pretty busy. I barely have any time for myself, and when I do have time it is often when they are working, doing something with their kids or wives. At the end of the day, I just do what I can and strive to improve that every day. If that's not good enough for some people, fuck'em.

Maybe its because im an introvert but ive never had the problem of ghosting. Im polite and jovial to almost everyone i meet. I know a little bit about a lot of things so I can usually hold a conversation with anyone. Despite some shyness i can speak to a great deal of people without worry. But at the end of the day if ive had to interact with a lot of people im fucking exhausted. I dont want to hang out or chill or go for dinner. I want to be left alone. Its basically why ive widdled my friends down, because i dont have to say, "I really don't fucking care." As much.

But friends? Ive got 2 kinds of friends. Real ones and internet ones. Of the real there are 3. My bros, childhood bros. They know me like i know them. They're outgoing, im not. Offer is always there but they know it wont happen 98% of the time.

Internet friends are anyone im on a first name basis with and i have some sort of knowledge of their real life. Incredibly low maintenance these guys. But i think gaming can build bonds qnd thats what we've been doing for years now.

Not a tl;dr: find new friends, people you share some interest/hobby with. Wouldnt say it's hard but quality is difficult to judge. Quality friends, like my bros, will be there till we're dead.

Tell them, you can't stand being around people anymore and you want to be alone. This way, they don't feel singled out and will be less butthurt about it. But they will still get butthurt. And some men start acting like bitches when you try to cut them out of your life. It's pathetic.

I've ghosted friends from child hood, friends I've had my entire life from age 5-6 to ~25. I'm not putting up with women they associate with because im completely mgtow no exceptions. Had to change my number and shut down my social media accounts.

Most people these days do not have the appreciation nor the ability to make friends or stay friends, let alone foster a friendship.

I've had close friends that I ghosted on from high school when I just graduated college. I did it because I realized they were never going to grow up and still wanted to act and do stupid shit like teenagers. Since then I've gone out and joined groups that relate to my interests and have made new friends. I also still see my friends from college. Even if I wound up alone it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Friends will come and go, but very few will stay forever. As George Washington once said: "It's better to be alone than in bad company".

I'm just guessing here, but are you in your mid to late 20's by chance? This is completely normal and if you are feeling any guilt, don't. As we get older we change, and hopefully its for the better. Some people you just have to leave behind if they are not really benefiting you. It's not that you should selfishly benefit from every friendship, but if you are the only one who cares and keeps tabs, what's the point? Sometimes you just have to dip out. There are people I have spent some really good times with that I simply won't talk to anymore. Most of those friends smoke so much fucking weed I don't understand how we ever functioned. I still smoke, but not nearly like I did, not even close. I am actually in the process of quitting because it is doing nothing for me anymore, so it's time to move on.

I don't talk to my best friend anymore because we are such different people now. We've known each other for 15 years and have been there for one another the whole time. Now he is a polyamorous degenerate already divorced and thinks life is honkey dory. He is an absolute fool and not the person I used to know. I used to be a liberal that was open to everything, but now I see how those ideals are really killing all kinds of relationships between people. I mean look at all of us here at MGTOW, society is in serious trouble.

I've had many instances where I was just there unconnected to my surroundings. I didn't really know these people and they weren't that interested in me. When they started saying lets all meet over there at 2pm and I showed up and no one was there, they forgot to tell me of the plan change. That is when I knew these people were no longer fun, even disrespectful and it was time to move on. The truth is I would rather be alone than around people for the sake of being around them. I think it's called self-respect. Took me a long time to get it.

I was ghosted by all my old high school friends a few years after I left University. By this time, I had a degree and was moving into the workforce, while they had been working for some time but most were married with children. I couldn't work out why until I found subs like this, it's pretty clear that their wives didn't want me around; I was a reminder to my friends what it is like to be free with money to piss away on whatever whim I wanted, while they were stuck paying for the useless bitch to sit on her fat arse with kids at home. I threatened their meal ticket, that was a bad move.

Just answer the calls, and if they invite you somewhere etc. just tell you are busy. At some point they will get the hint. There is no need to burn bridges, sometimes people grow in different paths.
