I have a group of friends that I knew very closely for 10 years but the last 4 years have been very uncomfortable. They are a group of 3 and have somewhat different interests than me and I have always felt that we don't really click and we just went through the motions whenever we hung out. They also never really asked me about my personal life, whenever we were out they always talked about their problems and even when I chimed in they never remembered simple things like my job which really irritated me when they knew details about each other's lives. Ive discussed this with them before. But I never left the group because I was so torn about ending it. So I recently moved and made the decision that I would go my separate way, I didn't connect with them and felt like they would gang up on me if I told them in a group scenario with all of them so I just ghosted it. It's just so strange because there is really no protocol on breaking up with guy friends. So far I have not had any communication from them besides 1 phone call in 3 months so I haven't had to ignore them alot. Have you had to do something similair, how did you handle it?

When I first started living in Ohio again back in 2012, there was a person that wasn't a friend but more of a social acquaintance. I got so bored of the person in about 2 months time that I just ghosted completely after 2013 because there wasn't really anything interesting to associate with the person other than 3 times showing up and doing nothing other than watching someone else play vidya. If I wanted to watch someone play vidya, I can watch myself play vidya on my own devices. Then out of the blue in 2013 the last time I ever talked to the person, he was acting like some whiny entitled dramatic slit in my texts acting like I owed him 10 trillion dollars or something. After that I just continued ghosting and gave zero fucks.

If they are married or in a "long term relationship" they are a lost cause anyway. Cut the cord, Go Your Own Way.

Tell them, you can't stand being around people anymore and you want to be alone. This way, they don't feel singled out and will be less butthurt about it. But they will still get butthurt. And some men start acting like bitches when you try to cut them out of your life. It's pathetic.
