meh, growing up in a disfunctional family and bullied led me to become very socially unconnected.
never dated in high school, joined the military at 20 specifically into the sub force which (for now) is one of the few male only parts left of the navy/military.

The last thing I would add, regaring earlier posts in this conversation, is that the incel might willingly reject unwanted sex. They could eschew prostitution for example, because a sexual relationship is what they want and can't get. Or perhaps be straight and therefore turn down available gay sex. The celibacy is still involuntary in those cases because they don't want to abstain from all sex, just some kinds.
