Most guys are mature, they just pretend and act immature because being mature all the time is boring and comes off as superficial to most guys (suck my dick no homo tho). Most women and girls don't mature mentally after a certain point, they seem "mature" because they're acting, they don't know what mature is because they get handed shit for just being a girl, so they never had to endure hardship, so they pretend to be mature. They don't know what mature actually is, having a check list for your future partner is very immature and to state it, even more so.
All those men that are past 30 and have been snatched up weren't great when they were in their 20's, those men developed into great men over time. Most women can't see the potential in a man and pass him off, as soon as they see their friends with these great men they think they were always great in their 20s, the reality is that their friends probably got lucky with the guy they picked. It had all to do with that particular guys talent and skills, intelligence etc.
If they were so smart they wouldn't be single like they are, how bout dah!

Most men I've encountered are not bright and lack a good deal of wisdom.
Almost every woman alive deserves to be put in prison or deported to Antarctica for their immorality that has been hidden. I don't need to go into their complete lack of intelligence and wisdom.

Think of it in terms of a startup. A startup can be risky even if it has great potential. Women act like traders. They want to avoid risk and maximize profit. So they ignore the startup which may have a lot of potential, in favor of and investment which is currently producing profit. Profit for them isn't necessarily dollars and cents. It could be social capital, looks, or material gain. Their investment currency is access to their genes for reproductive purposes. The average girls investment strategy is just as bad as a green trader. They want astronomical guaranteed returns with minimal actual investment and little risk. So their strategy is always short term. Invest in the guy that has success now, and you can always move on to a 'better' investment if this one goes south.
Now what do startups want? A 'wealthy' investor -- a patron if you will. Wealth in these terms is youth, fertility, and a pleasant demeanor. A patron also has enough sense to see potential, invest early, and stick with the startup. Patrons are in really short supply. So instead our startups manage to sweat it out as private entities until they have reached some modicum of success.
So around thirty, some of the startups have become spectacularly successful businesses. Most, though, are just mediocre businesses. On the other hand the traders have a problem. They all want to buy in to the now spectacularly successful businesses, but the spectacularly successful businesses have learned how to cultivate the 'wealthy' patrons. In other words, during the transition from startup to spectacularly successful business, the stock price has risen. Meanwhile, the 'traders' have been constantly losing their assets.
So we reach a point where the trader can't afford the investment she wants. This is something new. The trader looks around and can't afford the investment in any of the other spectacularly successful businesses either. Maybe these businesses get her hopes up, but eventually they all just use her remaining assets, then force her out for a better investor. The trader has bills to pay, so for the first time in her investing career she has to settle for an investment. She doesn't like that. The trader sees it as over investing in an under performing stock. But the trader signs the deal until she can find another, better investment. What trader doesn't realize is at this stage, she's almost bankrupt in terms of 'wealth.' The odds are that the trader isn't going to get a better deal because her assets are all gone.
The trader is hooked on the excitement, though. She knows that she deserves a huge investment deal because. So she engages in a corporate raid of her current investment so she can get back out on the market.
So this situation in the market breeds startups that attempt to artificially inflate their worth in the short term (PUA), startups that decide the market sucks and go private (MGTOW), and startups that attempt learn how to manipulate the market (TRP). The real losers in this scenario are the startups that hit the spectacularly successful mark, but have no idea how the market works. Think Elon Musk here.

In other words, it's a cognitive bias that says that a person, who her low ability and intellect, THINKS they are vastly superior to those around them.

I don't know... female IQ follows a bell curve while the IQ for males is inverted (many idiots, many geniuses, few "average.") In all honesty, I suspect most intelligent men are either gay or MGTOW-ish because we focus our energies on matters that will pay off in the future rather than focusing on the joys of the moment. In addition, I've always believed most women marry down (intellectually) because less intelligent men are easier to manipulate.

Male IQ distribution is still a bell curve, but longer tails, so comparatively more geniuses/dummies and fewer averages.
Also note males generally experiences higher pressure in life due to higher expectations and less care by society, in that sense male intelligence will be pressured to develop more. Wouldn't surprise me if men are on average just smarter than females.
