I’ve been an overweight guy (previously about 40 pounds over), and I’ve been a muscular guy. Still am muscular, but just not as solid as in my “prime.”

The guy’s response is dead on balls accurate. When you’re muscular, you simply dominate everything and everyone.

When you’re muscular, everyone subconsciously realizes they’re dealing with someone of (probable) superior genetics, intellect, and discipline. It’s a natural automatic intimidator.

It doesn’t matter where you go, people automatically recognize that you’re “the boss.” You can see it in their eyes, and watch it in their demeanor, by how they treat you.

It’s really an eye-opener when you see how you’ve been treated on both sides of the spectrum.

It’s much easier to negotiate, stand up for yourself, and hold your ground in social situations.

When you’re fat, you’re automatically entering any social situation from a place of inferiority. When you’re muscular, you’re entering it as “the boss.” It’s a priceless feeling.

It’s the reason pop culture/the media tries to paint muscular guys as idiots. They want everyone to be a miserable/fat piece of shit. Makes you easier to control.

Being muscular, but not too muscular of course is healthy and will lead to you living a longer, happier life.

Speaking your mind to women and not taking their shit, but also not being toxic and stooping to their level will also lead to a longer, happier life.

OF COURSE women say attractive men are "bad for relationships", but not for the reasons they say outwardly. Attractive men experience a side of women that's systematically, intentionally hidden from average looking guys, which means she can't control him so easily.

Been a few years now since I've been working out, before then was just a regular skinny fat person and I can tell you that the everybody's including the people closest to you behaviours changes once you start gaining muscle.

Thing is though its not even so much the physical aspect of your body changing, but even the huge physiological effect it haves over the way you talk, walk, make eye contact, work the list is endless to how much of an effect.

I guess the only negatives are depending on your work state some of your bosses at work can feel intimated and may just give you some bs excuse and fire you if they want as that is the only power they would have over you (regardless of if your doing a good job etc...).
