Yeah I know a guy with a wife like that. Not only does she refuse to cook, but she makes a big stink out of having to call for delivery. She'll be like, "god, why can't you just call the pizza place yourself?!" As if it's this monumental task that she's undertaking by picking up the phone and telling the person on the other end of the line to bring food to her door. Just incredible.

With 2 people it does not take much more than simply cleaning after yourself and the occasional chore to have a nice place. Occasionally vacuuming/sweeping (1-2 times per week), dishes (1 time a day), bathroom cleaning (1 time a week), and laundry (1-2 times a day) does not require a maid. That is MAYBE 20 minutes of work per day. "Splitting" chores is one thing but paying somebody to do minor things for a 2 person apartment is ridiculous. My family had a weekly maid but that was for a large family, large house and two working parents.

Had a Thai girlfriend for couple of years. She did EVERYTHING around the house and there was always food being cooked or prepared. She got angry if I interfered with household keeping since it was her domain.

My LTR tried to pull this shit on me. Said that I should get a maid. Asked her why I have her over for anything other than sex then? She got the hint and started cleaning and doing laundry.
