This is one of the last places men can discuss a variety of topics ranging from women to different career paths without fear of what women will think.

Although the members of this subreddit may not agree on all aspects of MGTOW philosophy, the majority agree that we live under the rule of a gynocracy instigated by feminism. That traditional gender roles, although beneficial since the beginning of human existence, have become obsolete, yet men continue to live out our role as protectors, providers and initiators while women use their newly acquired agency to treat men like second class citizens, stripping us of our natural right to freedom and happiness.

It is because of this fact that we choose to go our own way. We deny women the privilege of marrying us, and thus refuse them agency over our lives, our property and our general well being.

Ok I'm going to assume that you are genuine and not a feminist doing research for an article.

What you have described is a little more MRA than MGTOW. we are effectively men who have rejected the notion that self fulfilment comes from female validation. This can take many forms, from avoiding women conpletely to just being aware of female nature and the gynocentric nature of modern society. You will find some anger in here, as the red pill is a bitter pill to swallow. You will also find support and camaraderie the likes of which are not possible between both sexes.

If you are genuinely curious, I recommend that you browse the forum, and check out the youtuber TFM as well as the red pill movie. All the best.

If you're very interested, I recommend The Manipulated Man by Esther Villar.

MGTOW is based more on evolutionary science than feminism is, and that, in my opinion, is why I don't think comparing MGTOW to feminism is fair.

If anything, it's occuring in response to feminism - not to "level the playing field", but because feminism unmasked the true nature of women for many men. Some MRAs might think levelling the playing field in society and courts may fix the problem, but MGTOWs know the problem is engraved much deeper in our DNA.

We know that women don't love men like we love them when we commit. In Human Evolution men would go hunting and sometimes they wouldn't come back. Men fought fight tribes, and not come back. Women could not evolve to love men because they wouldn't survive. They had to jump on to other men.

I'll make it even simpler: women have expensive eggs, men have cheap sperm. Women are always more valuable. Men do 99% of what they do in order to buy access to these eggs. They buy them through resources: money, time, and energy.

MGTOW don't see the point in living our lives to this dogma.

Have you ever watched the movie 'Watchmen', do you remember how Dr. Manhattan decided to leave Earth at the end of the movie, after witnessing how humans have destroyed the planet and their humanity because of excessive drama?

MGTOWs are in a similar situation, we have seen too much of women's drama, and are sick of how society are tearing men apart. So we do the only thing we can, which is to leave them alone, let them tear each other apart. We have tried to understand them, tried fixing them, tried to be a part of them, but all it ever accomplished is hurting ourselves more and more. So we have made a decision to leave this place, physically or spiritually, and create our own world, our own peace, without condoning, or condeming.

MGTOW men can't stand government passing laws to enslave men, feminist bullshit, girls entitlement to be treated like princess, Girls telling you to do what I say or else get out of my house.( Should be our house) and you will never see the kids again. OP, you mention in many of your other posts that you generally disagree with anecdotal evidence. That is fine. But a MGTOW mindset comes from something more than experience. It comes from perspective based upon experience. We simply choose to go our own way. You have no problem with that concept, do you, OP? Even if you do, it doesn't matter. It's done.

Been a mgtow since 2011 before I knew this community existed. I have also been a long time lurker and occasionally make an account to post. I have a bachelor's in social psychology with a concentration in power within hierarchies. Many are aware of the prisoners dilemma so I'll use it in my example. Imagine you try to co-operate with women for a mutual benefit. However, Everytime you do she defects (divorce, free meals, ECT) and takes more for herself. So you say forget it and move on to another girl who does the exact same thing; this continues with ever women you run across. Eventually you stop trying to cooperate and always defect because you figure out that the designer of the experiment told girls to never cooperate. (Feminism) so from that point on when it comes to women mgtow always defect because they know cooperation leads to eventual loss. Life is obviously more complex than that, but this is my attempt at simplifying something extremely complex.

I'm seeing a lot of attacks on women (some that I think are justified) and I know many third-wave feminists attack men in a similar fashion so that's why I'm asking if there's some sort of parallel.

Some men here do genuinely hate women and blame them for all our problems. As for myself, I view both men and women of my generation as sheep that have been misled. I don't blame them for falling into a ravine - after all, they're just sheep, they don't know any better- but I don't want to be dragged down myself.
