First off I want to thank RP before I get started, Without it I wouldn't have realized why 'being yourself' isn't always a good thing and would have kept believing in the BP lie, because of RP I have been working on raising my SMV and have been working out for roughly the past month, i never realised before how good the feeling of getting stronger and seeing my stamina increase actually feels.
I have a few things to talk about, I have been reading the posts for a while and thought I had something to contribute, I'l do it in sections.
Section 1
One thing I noticed because I like to take time and just think about things and think of reasons why things happen, and one thing I came across that stuck out because of the hypocrisy of it is the 'Just be yourself' advice men are given, they are usually given this if they ask a female friend for advice on Women, which on the surface of it if men don't think about it they will think it is good advice and they just need to 'be themselves' even more.
This is false, think about it and the hypocrisy of who tells you it, you should just 'be yourself' while I guarantee your female friend is (Wearing Makeup, Hair dye, those lip filler things, fake tan, fake boobs...etc) the list goes on but you see where I'm coming from, if being yourself was such a good thing, why aren't they practicing what they preach, if being yourself was a good thing then surely there is no need for all the fake shit?.
This is what really got me thinking, the advice be yourself is for the women, not for you, meaning her telling you to be yourself doesn't benefit you, it benefits her, as we all know Women don't like men outside of the boxes they assign them (there is an RSD video on this where Tyler and another man approach a woman using exactly the same dirty jokes but with a different attitude, predictably the woman scorns the more BP man that tries to say these dirty jokes, but laughs and I believe goes home with Tyler who says exactly the same thing but has the IDGAF attitude) it shows the importance of first impressions and why they really count for what type of guy you will be seen as (Provider/Alpha).
Section 2
I like to watch movies in my spare time and few movies stick out to me, but one that got my attention because of what it promotes and it may have been mentioned here before but it is Crazy Stupid Love, starring Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell and Julianne Moore. The film starts with Carell's wife wanting a divorce and she has also been cheating on him, we see Carell drinking night after night in self pity, and watching also as Gosling's character consistently approaches and leaves with numerous women. Gosling taking pity on Carell wants to help him and what occurs stuck out to me as similar to what RP teaches and the results were also what RP teaches.
Gosling starts teaching Carell how to approach women, starts teaching him how to dress, get the right fitting suit etc, the pay off of this to me is the scene where after he has learned all this he walks into the bar with a whole new attitude and the women can't stop staring at him, you then see him go round the entire room and over the course of however long it is ends up sleeping with 9 different women and when his wife finds out...Suprise suprise, she wants him back.
It was in my mind because Carell showed abundance mentality and also the IDGAF mentality, she knew he could have any other woman, evident by the fact he slept with 9 different women when he had previously only been with the wife and so we get the BP ending of the two getting back together and Goslings character turning BP also, but the transformation that occurs in Carell's character because of Gosling is what I strive for, I use RP as my Gosling, telling me the attitudes, what works, what doesn't, dress better, workout etc, raise your SMV.
The SMV arguement really applies to most things in life, e.g. Selling your car, what do we all do before trading in a car, clean it, polish it, make sure it's looking the best it can so we can get as much money for it as we can, the same applies to yourself, workout, find a style that suits you, find the right sizes in clothes to compliment your body and raise your SMV higher.
I appreciate not everyone can be a '10' but with implementing correct fitting clothes and a good body and the right attitude, SMV can always be higher than what it currently is.
I realize this was a bit long for a first post, I welcome constructive critisism.
