Women let their children run wild for the most part. It's the men that raise them right and teach them to be respectful. My father was the only one who ever taught me anything useful, my mother just yelled at me and said "You're just like your father" when I wouldn't bend to her whim. My father kept me in line. Several of my friends who were raised without fathers were absolute little shits growing up. There were a couple who turned out alright but most of them were little hellions that did whatever they wanted.

On another note, I was in the mall the other day and witnessed a 4 year old boy throwing a temper tantrum in the middle of the dollar store. The mother did nothing but say: Let's go!!! Get up!!! and the Grandmother bribed the kid to get up by offering him snacks if he did as he's told (seriously?). If that was me, I wouldn't give a shit who saw it. That kid would be in a world of fucking trouble.

Just break up and leave. The reason is irrelevant and can only work against you

Explaining reasons is useful only when trying to salvage the relationship.
