My friend's wife was like this. She was a small girl who nobody really feared or respected. She would date guys and use them to get influence with their friends group. She had a sister way hotter than she was and she kind of resented that fact and I think this pushed her to more attention seeking.

Whenever I would come over and hang with my friend she would find something to get upset about and try to ruin the night. Once her attitude changed,so did my friend and so did everyonr in the room because it was awkward ans uncomfortable. I believe that she became addicted to that attention and the power it gave her.

She eventually left him for a coworker at their job that he helped her get to work with him.

I can guess the same will happen to this man as well.

Can we take a moment to mourn the loss of fun in the my household? Yes, my wife has banned me and our kids from playing D&D anymore. So let’s have a moment to lay to rest the joy, fun, imagination, hilarity, and bonding D&D has allowed between and an old man and his teenage kids. Gone are those weekly Saturday nights when the kids choose to stay home and play with Dad rather than go out with their friends. Gone are the jokes about failing a Dexterity or Charisma check whenever somebody trips or derps out. The stories have been silenced. Why would a wife ban a harmless activity that brings a family together, allows them to spend hours together enjoying each others company, and encourages imagination? Well the reason for that seems to be those very reasons. The sessions get too loud and too rowdy. There is a fair bit of good-natured arguing when competitive siblings go rule lawyers…and wait for it… curse words are being used. Never mind the fact that they are teenagers and ALL teenagers have a fascination with testing their maturity by dropping a fuck or a shit here and there. Never mind the fact that my wife curses like a sailor. Yes, I know how to spell hypocrite and yes, she has played a few times with us. She claims it brings out the worst in them, but she said the same thing about everything else she has forbidden us to play in the past: Risk, Monopoly, Munchkin, Poker, Settlers of Catan, Scrabble, and Cribbage. We tried reasoning with her, but you can’t really reason with insane. Are we going to stand for this? We have to, until we can either get her the help she needs or we can get the fuck out of here. We are pretty much reaching the conclusion that she just hates fun and anybody having it. Put on a comedy dvd and everyone piles on the sofa to watch and laugh, except her. She sits there telling us it isn’t funny. So let this be a warning to you young ‘uns out there. Before you marry somebody do your best to make sure that: They aren’t bat shit crazy. They share your sense of humor and are not handicapped by being born without one. They share or respect your hobbies. And heaven forbid, before you go off and make small humans with them: Make sure you BOTH agree that families are there to be enjoyed and have fun with and, That children are individuals with free will and cannot be molded in exactly what you want and, That teenagers can be loud and obnoxious, but can smell hypocrisy a mile away. But mostly, Make sure that they aren’t bat shit crazy. I cannot stress this enough. If you read this far, we thank you. It is a solemn day for most of our family. It is the day the d20 died. This could easily be settled with a "you can fuck right off wifey". I know many women who pull this shit when the attention isn't 100% on them. Fuck them and their childish mindset.

That's why women have problems with a man watching sports, picking up hobbies, or being out with the guys. She's pissed passed off that the attention isn't all on her and she isn't in the middle of the show.
