Until recently, MGTOW almost went off the rails as a virgins/celibates-only club. Fortunately, enough of us spoke out against the TFL-ers (true forced loneliness) pretending to be MGTOW and "monks" (but were really trying to impose their ways on everyone) that it has, I think, also become a place for men who still sometimes choose to get laid. The one thing we do have in common, however, is that none of us commit to women anymore.

Yes, you are free to engage with women. However, there are fundamental reasons why LTR and married men cannot actually be MGTOW.

There are two paths. You can lose your resources and personal freedoms. Or, you can avoid female relationship manipulation and go your own way. If you believe there is another choice you are actually in the process of reaching one or the other end states.

A mgtow is a man who defines his own worth and standards to live by, independent of the influence of societal and female expectations.

As long as you don't open up your heart to women, you'll be fine. Once you pursue romantic love, you create a void in your heart for the female to fill. Your sense of worth will begin to shift to be less about your individual path, but the needs and approval of the female and thereby, the gynocentric society.

edit: If you worship sex and the pursuit of it, it can create a void too. You would then be like the PUA. If you have sex like its no big deal, then I see no problem.

Not submitting in the face of emotional blackmail. Maintaining a sense of control and autonomy in your life despite pressure and subtle threats to conform to a woman's needs thus sacrificing your own. Not becoming financially or emotionally vulnerable to a woman because under these circumstances you are compromised and will ultimately be manipulated in order to avoid more painful consequences. Not making women the centre of your life and living in a way that involves gaining approval and validation from them. When you make pleasing a woman the focus of your life you have given up any sense of independence and self governance. Nothing is less MGTOW than a man who wishes he could get laid but just fails at doing so. MGTOW doesn't mean not enjoying what a woman can offer you, it simply means maintaining a sense of control and not having your self-worth and society's approval tied into your encounters with women - however long or short. Ultimately it boils down to controlling the "inner mangina". You can't reverse the biological drives of millions of years of our ancestors but you can make s conscious choice as to where you draw the line in terms of what you choose to give up for s woman. The more you give up for the psychological and sexual validation of women the more exposed and susceptible you are for all the inevitable pain and suffering that will ensue, Go your own way in the face of the overwhelming forces that pressure men to submit. It's time for men to take back their power - there is a ransom on pussy because we have allowed it to be so. Don't be a performing monkey. Most importantly, never get married.

I guess every once in a while people like to impose their way onto all MGTOW's, with predictable results. It's about going your own way. You figure out what works for you. I'm a MGTOW Monk myself. It works for me, but I realize it doesn't work for everyone. Some men desire sex a lot and don't want to live without it. It's fine, but do be careful. I mean we live in a day and age where false rape accusations happen and all kinds of swindles are being hatched by the governments to extract wealth from the men. Just be aware of the dangers and navigate through them. Cheers.

Avoid LTRs with women.

Do not get married.

Do not tie your personal worth (or judge other men's) to a females approval of you or them.

Do not put women on pedestals and allow them to manipulate you for cash and prizes.

Past that? It's a matter of personal taste.

Should you engage in sexual hookups or date? Well, I suppose that is based on how much you want to risk stuff like a false rape allegation, or falling back into the blue pill world.

I think that guys that still play the dating game hard are suckers waiting to step on a land mine, but I GET why they still do if they take a lot of steps to cover their ass.

If you still thirst for cunt, I do not believe you can really be "going your own way". Moreover, any dealings you have with any woman can go south in an instant, whether you feel committed or not. It doesn't have to be sexual; in some places, you might find yourself arrested for merely disagreeing with a woman.

The definition of MGTOW isn't what I measure my own independence by. The whole point of going my own way means I don't care about consensus of any online community, MGTOW not excluded. So while arguing about the definition is fun, it's ultimately not going your own way to conform to community consensus of what it is supposed to mean. Decide for yourself.
