I knew guys who were doing this back in the 90s. Its an old trick but has a good deal of risk. It does work getting your foot in the door. I knew a guy who was set up by a girl. The girl had their junky boyfriend and friends waiting, jumped the guy and tried to force him to make withdrawals from ATMs. He had no money so he just got his ass kicked and left in an alley.
