My question would be... Why the fuck is growing up and man up correlated to marriage? Who was the fucknut that came up with that. Growing up means taking responsibility for your actions and conducting yourself with honor. That's two things women don't do so who isn't grown up again?

The current trend and statistics point that marriage are not likely to ever improve especially with the laws against you.

I hope I am alive to see the day where men no longer marry. Where 70% becomes, 80...then 90..then 99% etc.

Marriage is an antiquated institution offering no viable benefit for the current man.

Why aren't they putting blame where blame is due - on young women. Young men are usually so naive and horny its (too) easy for young women to trap them into marriage, if young women are actually interested in marriage. This is how it was it was in earlier decades. The truth is young women now mostly aren't all that interested in marriage in their 20s.

The problem is not really slim pickings. It's simply not enough of the "right type" of guy. White upper middle class women are extremely choosy. They want a guy equally educated and earning as much or more money. And they want the guy to be her own age.

It's impossible to match up all these women with similar men. 1) The men aren't going to college at the same rate. 2) Men are not picky in this way. They will marry down.

So by slim pickings, I take that to mean the rest of the guys are not marriage material for them. These women are too good for most men. I guess these women can enjoy their rewarding careers and get a cat.

And yet they still don't understand that the sexodus ( hat tip to the legend that is Milo) is all their fault for treating the good guys like crap while spreading their legs for chad. my god if men stop getting married - maybe then people will stop cutting the tips off of their male babies penises. Our society could be headed for some sort of logical, sane future that I refuse to be a part of. Marriage and dick slicing for me please.

The article was pretty good actually. It tells how a pro-hedonistic culture is harming relationship formation. How one engages in, or maybe misses out on, relationships in their youth will play a big part in how they engage, or not engage, in future relationships. While the marriage rate has ticked up a bit in recent years, it is still way down from decades ago. It will be really interesting to watch what happens to that rate over the next ten or so years.
