I have a friend we'll call Scott that's always fallen hard for the girls he dates to the point where he overlooks their flaws. He's never casually dated girls or had one night stands, it's always serious LTRs.

Three years ago one of my other friends had a psychotic gf who Scott met a girl we'll call Sarah through. This Sarah girl was known in our area for being insane, she had run away from home and attempted suicide. She was so crazy she was bullied out of her previous high school. But she was attractive and on the surface seemed like a nice girl.

My friend Scott was a smart guy with a bright future. He started dating her and things got serious quickly after we graduated hs. His freshman year his grades dropped at com college because he was spending too much time with her and at work. His parents saw the negative effects of the relationship and wanted it to slow down.

Instead Scott moved in with her (now paying for an apartment). He dropped out of school to work more and they got engaged. So he's dropped out of school for this girl and is now working 50 hours a week to support this girls fairy tale dream of falling in love and marrying young (she works 20 hrs a week as a cashier).

His relationship with his parents deteriorated which came to a head when Scott's mother punched this girl while they were wedding dress shopping.

Then the good part. This girl met up with an old guy friend one night and they drank and had sex. When Scott found out she claimed he raped her. Yet she had been texting this guy who "raped" her for months after that night. Again Scott kept the marriage on despite his parents being uninvited to their wedding and this girls obvious cheating.

They were married last week so we'll see how this goes but I have a feeling this is a nightmare in the making.
