It's fun to laugh at individual occurrences like this but there is a dark underlying tone here. This is a form of abuse. When anything and everything a guy does can instantly be labeled "wrong" by a woman's subjective opinion, the result is he is constantly on edge, questioning himself, and most importantly afraid of her.

Off the top of my head, my soon to be ex-wife got mad at me because:

I cleaned off the kitchen table. Allegedly that meant I thought she was a filthy person who never cleans. We never discussed who would clean the table in the first place.
I kept on going to the gym when she stopped. Allegedly that meant I was trying to make her feel bad, instead of me simply enjoying the gym. She got mad about it another time because it meant I was trying to cheat on her.
I did not an opinion on a celebrity's new haircut. Allegedly that meant I though I was superior to everyone.
I didn't give the kids a bath because it was her turn. I should have known she had a bad day and volunteered to do it for her. Not once did she mention any of this until after she got mad.
I bought her concert tickets to an artist she really, really likes and let her pick the seats. I should have just bought the tickets, and prevented her from seeing at the prices and "being bothered" with picking the seats.
I spoke to her while she was glancing at her phone. I should have known she was reading an intense article on the web instead of chatting with her friends.

I had a shop foreman, a guy, and he was promoted from the service truck. I did the service calls after that. He was the laziest, whiny mechanic I've worked with. When he was promoted, you would have thought he was Lord high chancellor. Every time I went out on a call, he would phone me and start in on where the fuck are you?!? And so on. He knew every dirty trick, every slack off hiding spot. He knew that it was possible to do this in the truck so didn't even once forget to call and hound me.

So here's my point; they give you these shit tests because they have meticulously planned their own digressions and how to maintain deniability. They don't trust you because they know that they are untrustworthy.
