I say there is value in rejecting all of these terms that seem so precious to TRP.

Essentially using these terms automatically makes you an outsider incapable of having any real game. Just the term "game" is cringeworthy to someone who actually possesses it.

I guess most of it is just internet shorthand so you can all understand each other's stories quickly.

However, if you start actively thinking in these terms outside of TRP you are harming your actually chances of closing or achieving whatever goal you are reaching for.

Most girls will look straight through betas pretending to be an alpha.

Embrace your beta side! Be a nice guy if you feel like being nice. Sure some girls will friendzone you but they wouldn't fuck you in the first place.

I would always look at the long play. You might be good friends for a couple years and then 5 years down the road she remembers how great of a guy you were and then you're in.

I definitely agree there isn't one universal technique to picking up girls. People on TRP do sometimes seem to believe there is, but the problem I've seen here more than anything is in the often rigid and formulaic execution. It's one thing to say "Be Alpha! Maintain Frame!" But there are many, many ways to do those things, often depending on the person with whom you're interacting.

Goes along with the concept of AWALT. I agree there are tendencies among women, but their behavior is by no means monolithic. I like to think of it in martial arts terms. Does a kung fu master apply the same technique against every opponent, in every situation? Of course not. Mastery of any skill/art requires a high level of improvisation and recognition of specific circumstances, the ability to adapt to fluid conditions.

No Ph.D. Decent job but I have to work a little more than I'd like. Crazy male only hobby would be rugby. Definitely a sport that anyone can get into even if you're not naturally athletic. There are 15 positions in the field from big fat guys to little speedy guys and everyone in between.

The chicks at rugby tournaments can be pretty wild. Sure there a whole teams of ultra dykes but even they have a couple cute straight girls on their team they are trying to set up with a rugby dude.

Besides the mostly gross rugby chicks, the sport attracts college girls and has a pretty hard partying reputation without any of the nightclub type scenarios that I personally dread.

So maybe look up your local rugby team. Often times the guys are pretty chill/accepting and it's easier to introduce yourself to girls with some of your teammates with you.
