Take boko haram: when the girls are kidnapped, you see international outrage. When boys are forced into it, no one bats an eye. And when these boys turn into ruthless terrorists, feminists give the narrative that all men are violent rapists completely ignoring the circumstances that actually caused this.
If only the boys got help when they really needed it..

Welcome to society, when a girl is bullied to the point of harming/killing either herself or another, it is a tragedy, they deserved better, why didn’t the world see her suffering and save her. Look the other way and a boy being bullied to that point, he either needs to man up, or is an inhuman monster turned by video games into a killer and why oh why did nobody spot this and end him because he hurt a girl and is worse than Hitler because he is a hormonal, bullied teenage boy!

Well, our society that we live in feeds off the deaths of young boys whether foreign or domestic. Fucked up shit, man.

I grew up in America, but India is rampant with this behavior even today. I went back to visit in 2018 and the number of men who have no jobs/ degrees/ lifegoals who are pressured to get married and have kids so the relatives and parents can enjoy the wedding and they definitely expect grandkids right afterward because it's tradition. I just laugh because I was asked about when I would be doing all this and I laughed and said in America nobody gives a fuck about any of this. To anyone Indian reading this do not give in to the pressure of an arranged marriage, it's not worth it because laws against men are terrible. Save yourselves. Your parents and relatives will try to emotionally blackmail you but stand your ground.

I met a young guy in India (early 20s) whose family had arranged his marriage without his consent to a girl who was 15 or 16. He didn't want the marriage and objected (because she was too young), but they made him marry her anyway.
But he refused to consummate the marriage. He said he didn't see her as a woman. He said that everything she said even sounded like something a child would say.
So his family got upset with him and her family got upset with him, which is pretty risky in India. And his child-bride was of course the most upset with him of all. And then she ran off with another man to prove she was a woman or something.
That had only just happened, I don't know how it turned out. I hope the guy didn't get killed over it. He wasn't entirely sure they weren't going to make him be married to her anyway, despite her running off with another guy.
Overall I think arranged marriages do better than Western style marriages and are probably a better idea. But only within the framework of a society which properly constrains female hypergamy and punishes female infidelity.
And there are a lot of moving pieces you need controlled in order to get that right, as we're seeing. Pieces we didn't even know were related when we overthrew tradition because we were so much more enlightened than they were in the past.

I posted this some time ago, but thought i'd repost it as /u/Downtown_Start was telling a similar story about child marriage and its affects on his life.

Was it already the case before CCP came there?
[–]ThinExamination34 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Wait Nepal is a SAR? Last time I checked it was it’s own sovereign country..
[–]Godot963 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Well either that or I mistook it for Tibet.
In any case, it's quite likely in China's sphere of influence
[–]ThinExamination33 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes Tibet got screwed a long time ago, pacifism meet authoritarian.
[–]SagenTheGOd2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Nah you are right, Nepal is building a lot of its infrastructure with the help of China. Not long before it becomes a part of China.
[–]MoosehAlex1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a form of child slavery,Force a boy to marry in order to exploit his work for the rest of his life.Forced to provide for a wife and fro that society.Married men work far more than single men. This was known from ancient times.Men were forced to provide for women and society.
Fuck. Didn’t really know about this, how is this story not good more often?

I'd also like to know how they compare to women. I honestly had no clue this was an issue before right now. (Which is weird of me, since I knew Genghis Khan was betrothed at age 6, so it should've clicked.)

Media encourages female paedophilia so they don't speak about it.

Wow, I heard a one hour podcast about child marriages recently, and not a single mention of child bridegrooms.

Maybe you should post this on a mainstream sub if you want to spread awareness
