I'll preface this by saying that I do not consider myself a misogynist. I think that men and women should have equal rights and protections under the law. Moving beyond this preface I really take exception to the shifting of the definition of the word "Misogyny". This is something that has become far too common these days from the extreme progressive types; adding new meaning to words and pretending the normalized etymologies have never existed (see racism/sexism).
Now looking at the Merriam-Webster definition of 'Misogyny' we see the long held standard definition as simply "N. a hatred of women"(1). When we compare this to the Merriam-Webster definition of 'Misandry' we get "N. a hatred of men" (2). Clean cut, maybe a bit simple; but both make sense and mirror eachother.

Now lets look at Dictionary.com (which has a higher priority in the Google search result queue) From this source we see 'Misandry', "N. hatred of males" (3). Ok seems about right, so let's look at 'Misogyny', "hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women, or prejudice against women" (4). Wait, woah. WTF? That seems a bit one sided. Hatred of women, sure that is Misogyny. Dislike of women, is that misogyny? I'd say it's fuzzy at best. Now mistrust of women is where I really take pause.

Trust is a thing that only the most naive of people go around giving out. Trust is something you have to earn from someone. To be plain, no I don't just trust women (I don't just trust men either). I don't trust anyone until they give me a history of reasons to warrant that trust.
"Trust us we are on your side, and if you don't trust us then you hate us. Sincerely - feminist progressives". I guess maybe I am a misogynist now, because I don't trust that sort intellectual dishonesty.
