I just looked up laws in Canada it's legal to sell sexual services but not purchase....one gender seems to be protected quite a bit.

Prostitution is legal where I live.

There is the legal and illegal markets. Of course the illegal market can be more fun and less regulated but at a higher risk. But in both Markets the woman can expect some level of safety.

Does this lead to women who are 'vulnerable' choosing this occupation because of their circumstance? Sure, but that is going to happen no matter what, if a woman has no skills or education and is unable to get a job the tradition has been prostitution. I argue because of the fact it is legal and regulated both aspects of the industry are safer because of it.

As for competition for women? Fuck yeah! Remember Gents, in this game of 'love' we hold the commitment card, they hold the sex card. The norm is to swap one for the other and the commitment card holds higher value than the sex card. Well, with prostitution the sex card has a dollar value, it is up front, honest and doesn't require the commitment card, of which has a much higher value.

Plus... the sex is a million times better.

I would support the full legalization of prostitution ... provided that:

Health checks (STD) for practitioners was required and enforced.
Brothels are legal. The practitioner buys/rents a room.
Pimping in its abusive forms gets you life without parole.
No government or cartel price fixing.
Tax it, but no more than ordinary sales tax and only if other "services" have a sales tax.

I don't care what women do for a living. It's the "world's oldest profession", so why not.

I do not partake in "sex for sale". It seems empty and unfulfilling.

Simple economics:

The price of renting pussy is relatively cheap. If you have any job and you do what it takes to live within your means, you can easily save up enough to afford to rent. The legal risks of renting are severe, on the books, but never actually enforced.

The price of buying pussy is relatively expensive and the cost is increasing geometrically. In many parts of the world, you need a high end job in order to be able to buy and to make ends meet. The legal risks of buying, if the sale goes wrong (which is nearly always does) are severe and are universally enforced.

I don't see what's so hard about this. The conclusion is simple, rent, don't buy. No other pathway makes any economic sense at all. You can talk all you want about avoiding women altogether, but most men aren't built for that. Play it smart, rent, don't buy.
