I think that if I am in a similar situation I would leave the country. I would give up my US citizenship and live in another country. Or I would go into the woods and live like an American Indian. I would live off the land and drop out of society.

But for sure, I would not go to jail because I can't make alimony payments.

Happened to a friend of mine. He wasn't sure whether or not the kid was his, and was too dumb to request a DNA test, and signed the birth certificate. Once you do that, that kid, is legally your responsibility. If you don't think it's yours, then DONT.FUCKING.SIGN. You can't undo that without paying out of pocket for a test, and then taking it to court. And it's way easier to take care of the issue before it becomes one.

I'm sorry but this is absolute tyranny and not the actions of any legitimate government representing a just society. Taking away people's freedom over debt, any kind of debt is oppression. imprisoning someone for "child support" for a child that isn't even theirs is beyond wrong. Shit like this is why regime change in the US is needed urgently.

Happened to a guy I worked with, was living with a women who had kids. She got the sense he was about to leave, two weeks before he did she went to the bio dad had him surrender parental rights he did, she then petitioned the court to force the guy I worked with to make child support payments. Made sense to the courts and they forced him to. He had to pay child support for kids that wasn't biologically his until they were of age.

If this happened to me I wouldn't accept it. I would hold the criminals trying to extort money liable.... Laws do not change morality. They are not cover from liability.
