Note, probably because the title focused on the "woes" of these poor poor women (pity that... losing a big mansion and having to "suffer" downgrading to a two bedroom rented "luxury" flat on the Thames... Oh the infamy!)..

Ergo all of the times when someone tells you that the "divorce rate is dropping" -- well, the total NUMBER may be dropping (in no small part because fewer younger people are even getting married to begin with, they're "cohabiting" instead) -- but a HUGE portion of so called "happy marriages" (one that have lasted 10, 15, 20, even 25+ years) are now ending up in divorce.

So what the ULTIMATE "life long divorce rate" will end up being for any generation -- really CAN'T be known until that generation (or the lion's share of it) is dead and buried; and then of course THAT "rate" really doesn't have any predictable validity in terms of application (least of all a "limiting" application) to the generations that follow.
