What I have learned from online dating and women is that the system has completely broke and for most men it is not worth it. What we see are mostly 7 and 8 women on these sites with such high self-esteem and egos that they do not believe they have to ever settle on anyone from these sites. The media has inflated the idea of the strong independent woman and made the woman such an idol that all these women especially the younger ones will not settle and find the mate they need. Instead most of them will reject the majority of guys and believe that they can wait until they are older and will have that prince just around the corner. The women on these sites now take it for granted that they can get these men so they almost become worthless and not seen as worth their time. Their profiles on these site will say things like strong and tough and that they are very smart and are perfect little creatures. As the women get older in their late 20s and early 30s they will still be messaged by guys reinforcing yet again they do not ever need to settle. In fact though there is a subtle shift that is going on that these women and that their value is starting to decrease with them although it is not noticeable much at first. By the mid-30s these women will truly start to fall in value but it has mostly happened in such an unspoken and subtle way that they will not truly see it until they hit that wall and their value has plummeted. It is here where the shift becomes most noticeable in these women’s attitude, they are no longer princesses but have instead become completely disillusioned saying, “where have the good men gone?” They were there but now they are gone. In the end they fell for the deception and wasted the time they have on inflating their self-esteem rather than trying to settle down and find someone. It might be hard work to settle down and find the right guy and they would rather have their ego massaged instead. In addition I also think the economic situation of today where women work and are constantly told they are equal and even better than most men in the workplace also adds to this grandiose self esteem where they believe they truly are great and don't need men for anything anymore. I’m a strong career women who doesn’t need a man in my life to tell me what to do is what they think. It is much better for men to not play the game. Let them have a great vision of themselves and don't play along with them if possible. Stop trying to feed their egos and make them feel even better about themselves. I think it is better to find your own path and to have to deal with women and these problems.

Edit: In looking back at my post I think it is more about hitting the wall for women. They don't seem to see it coming so they continue to drag out their time on these sites as much as they can. By the time they do hit the wall it's too late and their value has plummeted so much they cant get anyone anymore hence, "where have all the good men gone?" Men on these sites will pretty much message these women until their value is very low and they are not worth much anymore. We all know the women on there wont take the responsibility though and will continue to blame the guys on there for not being good enough for them and the value they see in themselves.
