Ive been on TRP for a couple of months now and it put everything I was thinking into words. (this is mobile so forgive the shitty format)

After I broke up with my LTR of a year it was pretty rough and I was looking for answers.

I grew up 300 miles away from my dad, and my step dad died when I was 16. My dad was still in my life as much as he could, but my mom raised me.

As I was trying to figure out what the fuck happened I remembered that I had come across TRP before. I figured I could find something here. I read the handbook in 4 days, then Book of Pook.

While reading I put the whole cause of the breakup on myself: " I was too beta" "I cried in front of her when she brought up my step dad" "I didnt talk to other women as much" "I didnt create a social circle for her"

I thought I was the worlds biggest Beta. A soft, overly emotional fucker who didnt get anything about women.

It wasnt until I started dating other women that I realized I wasnt that monstrously soft person I constructed in my head. The women I was seeing couldnt get enough, and when it came to laying the pipe they wanted more.

I had to look at examples of men being alpha to learn I was not a lost cause.

Look at yourself objectively, not through the lens of self-hate, or through self-love. That skill is infinitely useful.
