All women are feminists, no exceptions. Hypergamy is a biological economy, it prizes male utility as an evolved reproductive stratagem while at the same time severely shunning weakness. Women are like this because they seek strength for security and stability as well as a means to propagate survival in their offspring. This means that if a man loses his utility(wealth, social capability or status, beauty) a women is very likely to discard him. A woman is also very likely to discard a man if she can get someone better, and the opposite which is hypogamy is almost never a strategem. Most women who enter post secondary seek partners of a higher status/education/income class, which means most men are below their perceptions of a mating partner. Then there are other things among number of partners wherein a woman will lose her ability to long term pair bond wherein a man will have a similar phenomenon when they have a high degree of access to women.

Another thing to clarify, feminism is not exactly an enate stratagem local to women. Its an economic agenda which seeks to subsidize women into the workforce in order to propagate the divisions of labor, thereby reducing the stressors of labor on men within an national workforce in a competitive global environment, also see herbivore man for men in countries that do not much in the way of feminist reforms.

If you want to see hypergamy in action go to a competitive environment, ie coporate and or post-secondary. Its there that you'll be able to openly see the hypergamous female in action.

Put another way, female nature is ... female nature.

If at some time, in some place, a woman doesn't seem to be exploiting you - that merely means that the environmental conditions at that time and place do not favor the emergence of gynocentric behavior.

Remember, all behavior is emergent, created by human nature as conditioned by environmental circumstance. If the environment dictates that apparently not being like that is the best strategy, that is what she will do. In other times and places, the beast will come out.

AWALT applies to woman of all ages and locations. What is confusing is that your question refers to "conversational partners". And while they all may be pleasant to talk to (AWALT), they are all looking for higher status partners (AWALT). Remember, you state you are talking to them, not fucking them.

Are you absolutely sure? Have you really examined the differences in your own interactions? Have you really examined the way they behave with other males and females? I'd say by 17 female nature is pretty much in full swing.

I wouldn't take AWALT literally. AWALT is a defense mechanism to mitigate the effects of "thinking with your dick", something that has ruined countless men's lives.

So when you catch yourself thinking "wow, she's perfect!", stop and remind yourself that you might be thinking with your dick.

Just know that a woman who was raised in a feminist society will probably fall under the category of "AWALT" to some degree.
