Men that don't help?

There really isn't much you can do but keep your ass covered. ie. don't check your phone/email when they are around. UNLESS of course... if you have a cool boss that you KNOW doesn't care. In that case, your boss already knows he's a mangina.

My boss has told me for years that he doesn't watch when I come in or leave and doesn't care if my work is done. At first I didn't believe him but over the years I've come to accept that he's being straight. Well, then they hired this old man as a project co-ordinator (notice not MANAGER) to help keep the consultants busy. One day I rolled in at 11am. He totally calls me out in front of everyone - "well, look who's rolling in at 11!" I didn't say anything. Maybe had a bit of a smirk and went to my desk. I'm not sure what happened but an hour later he comes and finds me in the kitchen and apologizes. Says it's none of his business and he shouldn't have done that. Maybe he came to his senses. Or maybe he went to the boss. Or maybe the boss heard him and went to him. I don't know. I don't care. Just saying. If you think you have a reasonable boss that knows/accepts people check their phones/emails then laugh at it. If he does it again, tell him to mind his own business.

Be careful if you have an "old school" boss and/or you work in a labour environment (eg. assembly line, call centre) where the attitude is that (as the old saying goes) "if you're got time to lean, you've got time to clean". In that case, look out. That mangina might end up being your boss someday because the bosses like a rat like him.

1) Ignore them, 2) They are your competition: treat them as such. 3) Be polite. 4) Offer no help either 5) Cover your ass around them. ALWAYS! 6) Understand, they are not your friends. 7) NEVER talk about your personal life.

I don't want/need the help of others for nothing - it's different if I'm new and learning and anyone is a dick who sabotages the new hires.

As for company policies: I don't like it but I understand what the rules are that I agree to so I am not mad to comply with them, only willing to fuck over a person who acts out to fuck me over.

Have high value to your employer.

I was working in the London fashion industry for a short time. The company was heavily dependent on their online presence and i was the lead developer.

Because the women there were so hostile to the other IT staff i started taking them to the pub for lunch. We always came back smiling and laughing and proceeded to have an awesome afternoon. After mocking us for a while, the women from other departments started asking to come along. I politely told them it was only for the IT department because i was paying for staff drinks / food with my own money but if they ask their manager i'm sure they'd do the same for them.

Women got angsty. Complained to the CEO (women) who called me into a meeting. She told me i was being hostile (perhaps true) and that i should stop.

I explained what i was doing and why i was doing it. Productivity was up. Morale was up. Profit was up. Bugs were down. I asked her to set aside a budget now that i've proven it could work. She refused, but finally admitted what i was doing was fine.

We had shots at lunch that day. It was a fine day.

TLDR; be awesome at what you do. Show results. Always have the option to walk out if things don't go well.

If you really don't like them then ridicule them in front of their female overlords, because that's all what keeps them alive. Don't feel bad for it. They would throw you under the bus for some pussy.

I dealt with men at my company swooning over this woman who was my equal on the team. They trained her up and down on the systems and protocols, and then she proceeds to think she's better and start spreading bad attitude because she's suddenly better than me in her head. I never got such encouragement, praise, or training. For a couple months, she had men line up it was one after the other like a guy would appear and hit her up for 10 to 20 minutes, he'd leave, and another would drop by.

The men in the company would also shit on me, and not overtly but subtly try to undermine my work. Yes, I understand the women... but the men are inexcusable for they are the true sabatuer.

I work in IT, in the past I've seen co-workers or acquaintances drop whatever they were doing to deal with the minor problems of whatever woman happened to talk them, in some cases essentially doing her job for her or helping mitigate a massive fuck up and cover for her. This got dialled up to 11 if the woman happened to work in an IT, science or engineering area.

I used to get infuriated by the obsequiousness and the way they would debase themselves, despite the fact the women would ignore them the second they were no longer useful any more. They would repeatedly fall for the same obvious manipulations time and time again.

Now I just pity them and laugh at the absurdity of it every so often.

Unless they are obstructing you, then it doesn't matter whether they help you or not.

If someone whinges about you to a boss, the retort for that should always be based on your results. I'm doing my job, I do it well, and unless you have a specific complaint about my work then I don't see the relevance.

You go to work to work. They don't own you, they pay for your output (or if they're idiots, your time).
