Something to ponder. In the UK there is a show called SAS: Who Dares Win. It's contestant trying to pass the SAS selection process. Granted it's watered down in that they dont use guns and maybe some of the fighting elements have also been reduced. But the point is its a fucking physically and mentally hard. The remaining candidates are currently in the Amazon jungle!

It attracts all types , most have troubled backgrounds, some have been to prison, one is a police officer. The vast majority are athletically gifted.

The vast majority are white males, then you have a few blacks. Also you have 1 Iraqi who immigrated to the UK when he was 5, and one Sri Lankan (Indian) who was born in the UK.

The dynamics are interesting because when you put men together, make them live in a confined space and physically and mentally test them through individual and TEAMWORK activities all racial/religious prejudice goes out of the window. People then bond based on personality, who they relate to, who performs, and who they feel they can trust in a fight, and who they would want besides them in combat.

It's interesting seeing how they interact when they are just at the camp recovering. You kinda notice who gets respect and who is the outcast.

The Iraqi is physically strong, he's a dentistry student, and his main hobby is boxing. He also prays 5 times a day in the camp, in front of the guys. The Indian is skinny, he puts on the pseudo smart intellect look in his spare time and studies "business and foreign language" All the white and black guys like and respect the Iraqi more, his religion and race no longer matters to them. In group discussions and banter he is always involved, whereas the Sri Lankan is usually just sitting around alone and watching like an outlier from the outside... when one of the white guys tries to make chit chat with the Sri Lankan the Sri Lankan's answer always kills the talk.

On twitter, males and very hot females love the Iraqi and refer to the Sri Lankan as a snake.

What's the point of this? Race is irrelevant, most of the guy's especially the White guys from northern parts of the UK probably had negative connotations when they first saw the Iraqi and when he started praying. But as weeks went by he became accepted as one of the boys. When men are put under pressure we unite on what we have in common in regards to character not race. In this case, the Iraqi is strong and athletic so very capable, but he is also socially capable and fun to chat to, he also the one you would want on your side in a fight, and most know he is trustworthy. He's personality isn't outlandishly extravert, in fact most would describe him as humble.

Whereas the Sri Lankan, who got further than most would have better on before being kicked out, didn't bring anything to the group dynamics either socially or in teamwork activities. Even if he was academically smart that was no use to him.
