TRP shouldn't be a chamber or destination, but a tunnel that you pass through as you move your life forward. Read the sidebar links, read the top posts of all time, make a tangible plan for meals/exercising/plating/etc, then commit to those plans. It's not enough to be motivated - you must be disciplined.

After all of that, no one is going to give a fuck about you (because they'll see you as an employee, or a networking contact, or a walking ATM), so you gotta learn not to give a fuck either.

Then you can stop coming here, because you don't need us anymore.

edit: also, STFU about TRP outside of here. This isn't some homogenous, uniform organization. We're all individuals. Don't act like you're "one of us". Just like the real world, it's every man for himself.

Reddit functions as an echo chamber. In fact so does your social circle, your work culture and your friendships. The whole concept that an echo chamber is bad is the bullshit in your argument.

The issues occur when your only prescribe to a single subset of echo chambers and shape all your believes around it. Echo chambers are how ideas are refined and shaped before being expressed to outside sources for scrutiny and evaluation.

The problem occurs when you allow the echo chamber(s) to encompass your entire world view. Not thinking for yourself and taking all information at face value is to core problem. Test and re-enforcing your opinions and refining them into theories and finally proving them as facts is how science and logical analysis are done.

Echo chambers are the first area to form an idea into an opinion and testing them outside of the chamber is how you develop it into a theory. Taking that theory and testing it against the realms beyond the friendly or neutral and into the hostile is how you develop fact. Facts come from adversity to an idea or concept being disproved to prove your theory correct.

The red pill has never been about follow these 10 simple steps and succeed. It's about showing people a road map which has been driven down countless times and re-enforced in field tested examples. Reporting on why something worked or failed and adjusting the side bar as appropriate.

You only claim it is a echo chamber because you are witnessing and evolved form of the theory which you are rejecting. An evolved form which has been painstakingly build over years of testing and input from tens of thousands. This is the largest case study into male sexual strategy ever constructed and it's constantly on going, being tested and refined.

That is the motto of the Royal Society (Science Academy once headed by Isaac Newton). It means "take no one's word for it".

The other parts of TRP are fun, but the real value is in what you can extract and apply by action to your life. Nullius in verba. Action walks, bullshit talks. That's the entire point of field reports.

In that sense, we're kinda like the fitness or diy subs except with an ideological bent. Contrast that to 99% of SJW spaces where the entire goal is about being outraged, or various virtue signaling and posturing, or shouting about needing government interventions in this or that.

There is an echo chamber effect, we're human, we're tribal, that's what we do and the mods and their policies do a good job keeping the signal to noise ratio decent. At an individual level though, it's all about application rather than karma whoring all day long. If you never apply yourself, you might as well be on tbp crying about us bastards.

Who would have thought that a subreddit would look like an echo chamber after a while right? Almost all subreddits are like that. Go to a funny gif subreddit cat, dog, someone getting hurt. Go to buildapc 90% of the people ask if their build is good and all the answers do not deviate from a particular answer. You want gaming in what kind of p (1080p, 1440p more) then get these.

Also I'm getting a slight hint that you do not agree on not committing to someone. That's fine and it's your choice. The advice that gets past around here is don't commit cause it limits your options. The more options you have the more power to you (Plate theory).

The occasional bullshit will always be here because the ones that offer sound advice are few.

It's mainly because the signal to noise ratio is pretty low due to high volumes of not fully unplugged folks posting shit. That's okay, but the meat of TRP is in the sidebar material, already hashed out and agreed upon yeeeeears ago. Look at that, ignore the noise.
