Well, what do you expect? in a world where no good deed goes unpunished....

And the Vets are just a microcosm of the larger problem with society.

The devaluation and abuse of men.

They're like a small random sample for statistical purposes. And the only thing they all have in common beyond their military experience, is that they tend to be people who try to be of service to the greater good.

At any given time, less than 1% of the population is in the military.

The vast majority of the public sleep safe in their beds because a very few collectively never sleep.

The military is no cake walk. Its unpleasant at best. But these men keep their word, in a sea of sewage.

Some of them cant take it forever and decide to opt out.

Effectively not re enlisting for life on planet Earth.

We should be thankful these men lived, too bad they weren't treated fairly.

But then, who is?

Suicide is never reported. I work in radio and we've had homeless guys jump off buildings blocks from the station, closing down a whole area of a busy downtown plaza. Doesn't even make the evening news.

They don't want you to know you can just leave.

It's the VA's top priority?

Really? Where are all the public information ads on TV about it? (I haven't seen any but I see 100's about female domestic violence, breast cancer and other female related topic's)

What are they doing to study this and is there money going for prevention programs, getting the word out, treatment money/drugs, etc.????

Is it being taught in High Schools and as one of the courses taught in basic training?

How about teaching about the statistic's of relationships and divorce by members of the military both during and after they are active service? Maybe even something about a different path, like say, um, MGTOW? Yes, I also see BS about how Woman can be all you can be, BS ... why not info about why MGTOW is a valid lifestyle separate from the marriage/divorce/depression cycle?

Are there networks of support groups where people can go who are feeling depressed? Is there a national helpline? I don't know because I have never seen a TV Ad about it (not specifically one for Vet's that is), has anyone there? (I hope so, but I only see them for woman's causes mostly)

Why aren't there homeless shelters specifically for Vet's, run by Vet's and funded by the Gov't? (there might be but I never heard about them...if there are, do you?)

What about automatic counseling for the triggers (I hate that word) that they have found that instigate suicide attempts like divorce, family court child kidnapping, infidelity, loneliness, homelessness, unemployment, etc. etc, etc. (are the main causes/triggers being researched...I just guessed at these using common sense...I could be wrong, real research is needed to prove which are real triggers of suicide)

Is there research being funded on effective drugs to fight depression? Post statistics of effectiveness vs a placebo?

This is just a fast list I put together in 10 mins, I'm sure I left a lot out as there should be a longer list......is that being compiled to benefit our Vet's? Again, I don't know because I dont' hear about it, I don't see it on TV, on billboards, in other ads, etc....all I see is articles like this and newspaper reports of Vet Suicides all year long.

Sad day in America when we care more about illegal immigrants (and legal ones for that matter, but that's a different story) than we do US Citizens and especially our Vet's!

PS - No, I'm not a Vet.....But I fully appreciate what they've done for us and this great Country. Thanks for your service!

This is why as a MGTOW I would not recommend military service. I respect those that make the choice, but society doesn't value men and especially doesn't value men who've served. It's a fucking meat grinder.

MGTOW means NOT conforming to what society expects of you, IMO. Fuck society, go your own way.

Men need to stop going into the military. Make it 100% women because, you know, diversity.

While we're at it, make the entire policeforce women for the same reason.

Then, with the military and police officially useless, we overthrow the government and rebuild.
