On one hand, the woman responded appropriately to a male-female dynamic: the man was domineering and the woman followed her natural role to submit. If the guy was ugly or 300+ pounds, you can bet anything she would've fought him off.

Assuming her story even comes close to the truth.

If she didn't want to have sex with him she should not invite him over, dance and drink wine with him. If she invites him over she needs to make her boundaries clear as to why he was invited over. Ditto if she is invited to his place, the intentions and boundaries of both of them need to be on the table. If he continues to press beyond that point then he's a creep and a rapist if it goes that far.

Expecting anyone to sense discomfort and fear from subtle body language alone is a tall order especially when alcohol is involved. Body language only goes so far and we often misread people unless it is pretty obvious someone is defensive. A clear no I don't want this is... plenty clear. Maintaining distance of 6 feet or 2 meters is pretty obvious. Turning her head away from a kiss attempt is pretty obvious. At some point people have to take responsibility for their own safety and make things very clear.

He's not blameless either. He should have laid off the booze, then he could read her body language better. Drunk, horny, no clear boundaries with the dancing etc... he missed/ignored the NO GO signs PUA style. He could have tested her by simply trying to politely leave her place and check her reaction.
