According to Carl Jung, we all have a shadow. It's the traits of ours that were seen as undesirable, either by ourselves or by others. By neglecting the parts of our personality we don't like, we throw that part into our subconscious and then it becomes a part of our shadow self and the more we neglect it, the denser the shadow becomes. Now I have many traits of mine that I don't really like and often try to hide from my friends and family. One of them are my homosexual tendencies and other perversions of mine that I won't go into details with. And then there are other traits about myself that I absolutely hated, some that I wished I was never been born for. But I've slowly come to accept them. Often I would use what is called "projection" where I call out on others and hate them for some of their traits, only to realize that they are traits I've been neglecting from myself all along.

The more you neglect, the bigger your ego grows and all your energy and effort you put into hiding your bad traits. I think the biggest RP you can take is to accept yourself as you are. That's why the post about not giving a fuck in the sidebar is my favorite post on reddit of all time. You become so light and your frame becomes stronger and people are naturally drawn towards you when you successfully integrate your shadow. Whenever I accept myself as I am, I become naturally stoic and super confident and all the energy that I used to hide my undesired parts of myself has been freed up and I feel like I can conquer the world if I want to. There's even a whole chapter in the book Ride the Tiger by Julius Evola where he mentions that in the world where god is dead, we only have ourselves to accept fully as we are.

Now my question goes to you if you have accepted yourself and what personality traits of yours have you been neglecting?
