I disagree. I think this is more of a western idea. America is the biggest offender on this one. If you try and say you’re a strong independent woman that don’t need a man in an Indian or any asian country... you won’t get a positive reception. People are more blunt about telling women they have a shelf life in other countries. Now yes. Some will say incel or whatever... but there are countries doing this as well.

Moral of the story? If you are doing what you want, you except the cost of your action. So if you don’t want to waste your time on women, then you brush off their insults and let them talk to a brick wall.

Do you think people who reach success didn’t have lots of people telling them not to focus on success and just be a regular boring person? That’s the cost of your desire. Step up and assume that cost. Proudly walk ahead expecting people not to like your decisions and do it anyway.

Yup double standards. My suggestion is to learn what they are, how to mitigate and use them to your advantage.

Complaining about double standards will not change a damned thing. Women, especially in the US, have the moral high ground. Using the moral high ground women have been able to make political and economic gains without the risk of being drafted or losing the protections they had under patriarchy.

As time grinds on more and more men will start to see women as competition and not as someone to fuck, wife up or protect. Women will lose the moral high ground. Once that happens unless she is an ally, friend or family; the gloves come off.

Until that moral high ground erodes, calling them out on the double standards will be self defeating.

All the damn time. I have girls coming to me for comforting and then unleashes all their "boyfriend" issues and continue to demand answers from me, expecting me to answer on behalf of their bf. You can either choose to ignore what they said or continue the topic they unleased out. If you choose to ignore, they will start to attack you personally out of no where by nitpicking your life to compare to their bf ( despite being the one complaining about their bf minutes ago). If you proceed to explain their issues with their bf from a "guys" view, they will start throwing words about you being dry and get laid. My advice? Ask them beforehand what it's about and when they talk about bf and any hint of complaints, just say you're busy and drop that fucking shit right there and ghost them. I've seen enough these, it's a waste of time, you can never be friends with females, rare or not.
