I think hypergamy has always been there but it has accelerated to extremes given how society has rapidly changed due to the internet and social media.

Social media has amplified the idea in some circles that they're entitled to so much, but don't have to bring anything to the table themselves. However, that doesn't greatly affect who they're able to actually get because the mechanics of supply & demand aren't different.

Consider this: if you went into a car dealership and demanded that they sell you a $30K car for $10K, how do you think that would play out? Simple: the forces of supply & demand would very strongly dictate the outcome. If there's a line 3 miles long of people desperate to pay $30K, then the dealership has zero motivation to sell it for even $29,999.99 (in fact, they could even raise the price, and buyers would still be falling all over themselves!). On the other hand, if the economy imploded and the dealership was on the brink of financial ruin, they may very well liquidate their inventory quickly so they can continue operating. Supply & demand.

What this means is this: trashy ghetto women can spout off that they deserve a king all they want, but reality is that high-quality men have options...options that include much better women who bring more to the table. So those entitled women will either settle for a fair deal (i.e.: a broke-ass alcoholic), or they will end up alone.

THAT is the only real choice they have.

Putting aside that my creating great varied content on various social media involves 100x the effort and intellect of an average looking girl posting a badly taken bikini/cocktail selfie by the pool; I understand that the X-hundred likes or comments or whatever are also made by those same people on dozens of other people's social media each day.......that's blindingly obvious to me and most men so it doesn't go to my head and make me think I'm the next God Emporer of the universe and everything that comes with it....... Most girls think the likes and comments on their identikit bikini selfie are for them and them only or their hamster is strong enough to delude them as such, to the extent that anything that's not in line with them being the God Empress that they are is gross injustice and clearly irrational or terrible behaviour

It's just a symptom of our current society.

Think about this also...look at contemporary females/icons. In the past, singers/actresses had to maintain a lovable and perfect image for the public. They had to be seen a decent people with good values. Sure this was mostly for marketing purposes, but they still had a respectable image to the public. And the public was influenced by them. What they did behind closed doors was something else entirely, but you catch my drift.

Nowadays...Cardi B...that's all I have to say.

This is the way it’s always been.

You just see it more and more because society has let women run rampant.

Women make decisions almost entirely in their emotional reality.

It’s always been there. You’re just seeing it now.

It’s a matter of emotional vs rational thought. There are some good articles on it.
