It is truly a depressingly censorious dystopia that we are failing forward towards.

Someone calls a spade a spade in a private conversation, only to be dragged through the digital mud under accusations of something as nebulous and devoid of meaning of "misogyny", only to lose their job.

Already on social media, by and large we aren't allowed to say in public what we truly mean without risk of outcry and backlash. Now the same is being applied to private conversations. And when you aren't allowed to speak thoughts of your own, even in the confidence of your own peers; the logical next step is to not allow people to even consider harbouring in their own minds, thoughts of their own.

With the way certain of our big tech corporations are going, I wouldn't be surprised if they team up with the state and media to use algorithms to identify people who are at "high risk" of holding ~~dissenting~~ ~~subversive~~ ~~seditiuous~~ regressive, harmful and problematic thoughts.

And what does it matter if they can't actually prove it?

The past few years have taught as that what matters isn't the charge.

What matters is the mere act of being accused.
