It wouldn’t change all that much. Top 20% would expand to top 30%. A lot of the same traits women value now would be beneficial in an apocalyptic situation.

The best example I have is one my husband told me. Australia was founded by Britain sending all the convicts and whores to Australia. A few men told the rest that everyone was going to die so they adopted a law that all the women needed to be married within a week or they'd be married off to the first man found. So, everyone became married.

The irony here is that you believe for some reason that we're not living in an apocalyptic world. One mass electrical storm surge or EMP and we're all pretty much screwed. We're not as "advanced" as everyone believes we are. We're so high on our own perceived sense of greatness and superiority that we're out of touch with reality. Nothing would change that much, tbh. Those who have resources or are capable of obtaining resources will be the most desired. Women will seek these men out and exchange sex for resource access and protection. It's only a slight modification from how the world currently works.
