To my ex I was controlling and an asshole, yet none if that is true but it makes her version of the story better instead of being found out for cheating

Pretty much when a woman talks shit about their ex, usually that means she will talk shit about you. Yes, there are exceptions to that rule but without meeting him and actually knowing both sides of the story you will never know. Not your place to care. Just a red flag to be aware of especially if there are multiple exes she talks shit about. Reflects on her poor choices in men...just enjoy the ride

If she is complaining that her ex is an asshole, then it's a pretty good bet that HE was the one who ended the relationship.

Have you ever heard a freshly dumped woman say "He's a really nice guy"? That doesnt happen. She's angry over her ex, maybe she's justified in that anger, I'm willing to bet not. Regardless, it's not your problem.

Your problem is maintaining frame and directing the relationship in whatever direction suits you.

Compaining about her ex can be a shit test, be prepared to Alpha-up and tell her to knock that shit off. You're not her emotional tampon.

If she has one asshole ex she has one asshole ex. If all of her ex’s are assholes then she wants to play victim and not take responsibility for her relationships failing. This isn’t exclusive to women. The male equivalent is the guy who says all his ex’s were crazy.
