What kind of frame should you be in when you genuinely make a mistake in an LTR?

Generally, when you make a big enough of a mistake, you need to own up to it and apologize, like an adult. Small mistakes you shouldn't worry about.

I zoned out of her explaining something important to me.

This isn't a mistake. People's attention spans are limited, and if they're given too much to process at any one time, information gets dropped. This is fully normal human behavior.

That said, you should be mindful of what's happening to you. If you're inundated at the moment, and important information is coming at you, you need to say "Hold on, I can't deal with this right now. Give me a few minutes so I can concentrate otherwise I won't understand you." Reasonable people will be patient.

If you zoned out while she was explaining something, it obviously wasn't that important to YOU.

As far as when you make a mistake...well fucking own it, and accept the consequences. You're going to fuck things up, and it's hard to admit that you're wrong. If you're not legitimately wrong though, don't admit it.

You can apologize without losing frame, just don't apologize obsessively or in a passive-aggressive way like a gamma

Apologize for one offs. Don't make it a habit... either zoning her out or apologizing.

That being said, learning how to look attentive while totally zoning her out is the hallmark of a man who truly is in a LTR, because girls babble like geese. They're used to doing that with other girls and can't understand why you wouldn't want to as well.

This is why we have work, man caves, garages, and ADHD... to get away from the tawktawktawk.

Many men are going insane right now with Covid because they can't get away from Her and her trap.
